When I came up with Addicted, for reasons that I don’t remember, I had this phrase, “Light/love hides in groups of two” banging in my head.  I don’t know why - it just seemed like a cool idea.  And I’ll be the first to admit that I am definitely addicted to love - not the sweet love, but the kind of love that makes you want to vomit and you can’t live without.  Balls deep, that’s me.  One of my favorite song writers in the world is Shawn Colvin - she has a song called “A Matter of Minutes” that I love - and she has this cool phrase in one of the verses, “I’m afraid of all of this blood in my heart.”  What a cool way of saying that you are crazy afraid of losing.  So I came up with something similar, “I have all of this blood I’m willing to lose” - because bottom line is - yeah, I have  a lot to lose.  But I’m willing.  Yes, indeed.
